Afternoon Haigh Community,
I hope that everyone is enjoying your weekend and the changing of the seasons from Summer to Fall 🙂 This school year Haigh has made some changes to the routines and procedures of our 3 lunch periods. In the past, we would have 2 grade levels eat together, then head outside for their lunch recess. Due to the increase of our school population and Covid safety protocols we have transitioned to only 1 grade level eating at a time in the cafeteria. We used this model last school year, but that was during the Hybrid Model and we only had half the students attending on the A or B days. This school year we are back to our normal school population of 540 students. With this, we are transitioning between 8-9 classes during each of our 3 lunch periods. To help with smoother transitions, we are currently looking for volunteers from the Haigh Community that may want to stop by during our lunches to help with the ins and outs. If you are interested then please use the link below to gather more information about our school lunches. Overall, it never hurts to have more “Haigh Helpers” at the building! Have a great evening and upcoming week!
