Hello Haigh Community,
We will be REINSTATING the “Sibling Spot” for the 2024/25 school year. Any siblings in grades K-5 will be eligible for “Sibling Spot” for DISMISSAL ONLY! For afternoon dismissal, all Sibling Spot students will be dismissed to the Gym a few minutes prior to the dismissal bell. Kindergarten and 1st grade students ONLY will be picked up by a safety and taken to the gym. All of the siblings will wait together in the Gym, with a staff member, until their parent arrives for pick-up. Parents of Sibling Spot students will pick up their children from Door #2 (located underneath the overhang in the center of the building off of Silvery Ln. / See Map)
IMPORTANT: The original decision to dissolve Sibling Spot this year was based on student behavior and the available staff to run the program safely and effectively. As safety is our top priority, students are required to follow the Sibling Spot rules while waiting in the Gym. If a student’s behavior in the gym is addressed more than 2 times throughout the year, they will lose their Sibling Spot privileges. Unacceptable behaviors include: throwing balls, running around the gym, not listening and respecting out Haigh staff members in the gym etc..)
**NOTE: SIBLING SPOT PERMISSION SLIPS WENT HOME TODAY WITH THE YOUNGEST SIBLING IN EACH FAMILY. ONLY 1 SLIP IS NEEDED PER FAMILY. SIBLING SPOT WILL BEGIN ON WEDNESDAY 9/11/24 FOR ANY FAMILY WHO HAS RETURNED THEIR PERMISSION SLIP!**
