Haigh Parent Meeting

We are extremely excited to host Mr. David Mustonen, Director of Communication and Marketing for Dearborn Public Schools here at Haigh on Wednesday, February 21st. I have asked him to join me as our guest speaker to discuss the upcoming Operating Millage Renewal and the importance it plays in our Owl’s success! I believe it is imperative to bring our Haigh Community together to talk about the significance of this renewal and hopefully answer any questions you may have.
We will touch on a variety of points surrounding the Operating Millage but most importantly, without this funding, the district would sink to one of the lowest per-pupil general fund revenues in Michigan. The Operational Millage brings $41 million into our General Fund budget; that is 16% of the budget and makes a huge difference to our students’ school experience.
This truly is about our students, attendance for this event is highly encouraged so lets make it fun! Every parent that attends will receive 2 hoots for their student(s), as your kiddos will tell you, those are as good as gold around here! In addition, the classroom with the MOST parent/guardian representation at this meeting will win a pizza party!
