As we look ahead to the next school year, some families may have questions or requests about their child(ren)’s classroom placement for the 2023/24 school year. Next year, we will have 3-5 classes per grade level that are structured so that our grade level teachers all follow the same curriculum, as well as plan together. When creating class lists, our primary goal is to create a positive classroom learning environment for all of our students.
Research supports mixed ability and diverse classrooms, so we carefully consider students’ social, emotional and academic skills. A great amount of time goes into this process, supported not only by our classroom teachers, but support staff and specialists as well.
For these reasons, we are unable to honor requests for specific teachers. We do welcome, however, emails that inform us about your child’s learning needs.
