Morning Haigh Community,
The last 2 weeks have been extremely fun with grade level events at our building! This has allowed us to transition back into some “normalcy” , where we have been able to get our students together outside for team building activities and the opportunity to celebrate each other and their year together. Below are a couple updates to make a note of for this last week of school.
-5th Grade Promotion- due to the chance of rain going from 20 percent to now 60 percent and “high winds”, we are going to move our Promotion Ceremony to Thursday, June 17th at 6:30pm. 5th grade teachers will be sharing more information today through schoology. We apologize for the late notice and wanted to choose a time when all parents are off of work. We figured that 6:30pm would make the most sense.
-Summer School- I will be sending a confirmation email to all families tomorrow morning confirming your student(s) placement at Haigh for our Summer Program. I will also be doing a video that covers: arrival, dismissal, lunch, snacks, water, classes, class placement, specials, etc… Overall, we are very excited for our Summer Program!! This is our first 8 week program at our building that includes both academics and specials throughout the Summer for our students. We have 240 students attending our Program, which is a huge number 🙂
Overall, I appreciate everything that you have done this school year to help your students with their education at home. We look forward to a normal 5 day week next school year for our Haigh Owls. Have a great day and week!
